Cover.

Cover. A log, heavier than water, is floated between two logs of balsa wood down the Huallaga river in Peru for delivery to the local headquarters in the demonstration forest of the UNDP (Special Fund) project operated by FAO. The project supports the development of a forestry faculty at the Agrarian University, La Molina, Peru. FAO is operating 58 Special Fund projects to which the UNDP contribution is nearly $49 million. Another $9 million have been contributed to 16 projects which are now completed.
